Betrayal & Love
Jensen's new in town, looking for a bit of fun. He meets this woman, Sandy, and finds himself in an impromtu relationship. But is Sandy as available as she leads him to believe? “Listen, man…It’s not that bad… Sandy didn’t know you’d be getting in so early; else we would’ve gone out.”

The music thumps loudly, drowning out the buzz of conversation and the chinking of beer bottles as Jensen wades his way towards the bar, allowing the stress of the week to seep out of him. He settles down on one of the stools and leans forwards, gesturing towards the bartender, “Can I get a beer, please.”
“How about you make that two, cowboy?” a voice comes from behind him and he turns to a find pretty brunette grinning at him. She’s small and cute, with a short tank top on, and an equally short skirt, and, as her eyes slide down his chest appreciatively, she leaves no doubt as to what she’s looking for.
He grins, “Sure, why not?”
Slipping onto the barstool beside him, she leans over the counter, smiling seductively, “So… you new in town?”
Smirking at her come on, he reaches out to grab the beers and hands her one, “Yeah, I am, actually. Just moved in two days ago.”
She bites her bottom lip and purrs, “Well, aren’t I lucky?”
♥
“Nice place,” he murmurs, enjoying the spacious lounge and comfy interior, “You live here alone?”
She hesitates for a few moments, adjusting her skirt and smoothing out imaginary wrinkles. Then she shrugs, “I have a housemate, but we have the house to ourselves for a while.”
As she begins unbuttoning his shirt, Jensen ducks down, pressing their lips together and tasting cherry lipstick on his tongue. Her movements become increasingly frantic, her tiny hands tugging at his belt, and finally he pulls away, breathing heavily as he growls, “Bedroom?”
♥
She’s so small beneath him, her legs wrapped firmly around his waist, pulling him deeper. Her breathing hitches as she chants, “Harder, harder, god… fuck me!”
Throwing his head back, Jensen pounds into her, needing to come so badly it hurts. His eyes trail over the wall and catch sight of a photograph. Lounging on the grass, the man is laughing, his hazel eyes sparkling, deep dimples etched into his tanned cheeks. Jensen gasps at the youth and innocence shining from the man’s happiness and, with a soft cry, he realises he’s coming.
Sagging down onto the bed and pulling out of her, he lies there panting, unable to get the image out of his mind.
He jumps slightly as her delicate fingers trail over his chest, wondering whether she noticed, but she just grins, “Wow… that was…”
“Yeah…” he murmurs, eyes flickering towards the photograph.

As he’s getting dressed, he glances back at the wall, asking as casually as possible, “Who’s this dude?”
“Oh… uhm…” she looks up, staring at the photo for a few seconds before finishing, “That’s my brother.”
“Oh,” he replies.

She prefers it when they meet at his place, despite there still being some unpacked boxes and things, but she doesn’t say why.
Jensen enjoys meeting her, enjoys the sex, enjoys the afterglow, but he can’t deny that he’s never come harder than when he came looking into those amazing swirling-ocean eyes.
He feels slightly guilty for fantasising about Sandy’s brother while fucking her, but she’s just interested in the sex. It’s been clear since the beginning that neither of them is looking for a relationship.
Occasionally, he manages to convince her that they should meet at her place. It’s those times when he comes with a mixture of guiltybadwrong, wondering how horrified her brother would be to find out just what his photograph is being used for.

It’s a month later that everything falls apart.
She’s riding him, her dark hair hiding her face as she writhes on top of him. He’s groaning, desperately close to edge, hands gripping at sheets. Tossing his head, his back arching up to meet her, Jensen searches for the dimples, searches for the sparkling eyes, searches for the happiness.
His eyes fall upon a motionless form in the doorway, the real embodiment of his fantasies standing there, mouth agape. Taking in the muscular body and the man’s height, Jensen lets out a sharp cry and thrusts up into Sandy once more, riding out his orgasm.
The choking sound from the doorway has Sandy twisting around with a gasp and she quickly pulls away from Jensen, clutching the sheets to her chest. Her wide eyes fall on the paling man in the doorway, and she breathes softly, “Jared.”
Jensen shifts in embarrassment, pulling a pillow down to cover his crotch, but he needn’t have bothered, as the younger man just turns away silently, quickly leaving the room.
“Jared, wait!” Sandy staggers after him, wrapping the sheets more firmly around her frame.
Feeling a bit weird about the fact that Sandy’s brother caught them in the act, Jensen quietly pulls on pants and follows the pair. He remembers when he caught Josh in bed and he knows just how embarrassing it can be to see your sibling like that.
He just hopes Sandy’s brother never finds out about the fantasies he’s been having.
Rounding the corner, he watches as Jared roughly pulls away from Sandy and mutters coldly, “Don’t touch me,” which is a bit of an overreaction in Jensen’s mind.
He steps into the hallway and both pairs of eyes fall on him, “Listen, man…” he says to Jared, “It’s not that bad… Sandy didn’t know you’d be getting in so early; else we would’ve gone to my place. Just chill out.”
The kid just stares at him, eyes wide and glistening. He opens his mouth to reply, but then just shakes his head, grabs the doorknob and exits the house, leaving Jensen and Sandy in silence.
Sandy turns to glare at him and Jensen scowls in confusion, “Sandy, I get your brother can’t have been that happy to see us, but why the hell’s he acting like such a jerk? I mean…”
She cuts him off, hefting the sheet over her bare shoulder, “He’s not my brother.”
“What?”
Storming towards a cupboard, she yanks it open and digs around for a few seconds. When she turns back, she tosses something carelessly at him.
As she heads for the bedroom, Jensen stoops to pick up the white, velvety box. With his throat closing up, he flips it open to reveal a stunning ring.

“What the hell!” he storms after her, “You’re engaged?”
She shrugs, looking distracted, “Yeah.”
“You… you cheated on him!” Jensen splutters, “With… with me. You cheated on him with me!”
“I don’t see what your problem is; we both knew it was just for sex. Now, I just need to figure out a way to get him back.”
“What?”
Sandy laughs, looking at him incredulously, “Have you seen him, Jensen? He’s perfect. Hot, gorgeous, sexy, friendly to everyone, adores animals, earns a lot of money: the man every father wants their daughter to bring home. You don’t seriously think I’m just going to let him go?”
“Sandy, you cheated on him!”
“Yeah, so? He’s a softy, I’ll just flash him some story about how ‘I just got nervous about our upcoming wedding and that I’m so sorry and’… I’ll add some tears here… ‘and if he’ll just forgive me, I’ll never let him down again.’” She grins, “Give me a week and he’ll be back.”
Jensen gapes at her, “So you just toss away everything you had like it meant nothing and now you expect him to come back to you?”
“Jensen, I don’t get why you care. It’s not like you even know me.”
“You’re right. If I did know you, I would’ve known what a bitch you are and I’d never have come near you.”
He grabs his shirt from the floor and pulls it on, “Where does Jared work?”
“He’s a writer… wait, why do you want to know?”
“I just need to let him know what a bitch he was about to marry. And…” Jensen waves the ring, “I need to give this back to him.”
“Hey!” Sandy yells, trying to grab it from him. Jensen just shrugs her away and heads for the front door.
Just as he’s about to leave, he turns around, “You had him: the ‘perfect’ man, as you put it, and you still weren’t satisfied?”
She smirks, “Jensen, life isn’t about what you have…. It’s about what you can still get.”
Shaking his head in disgust, he steps out the door.

Jensen doesn’t think he’s ever felt lower. He’s one of those scumbags who sneak into married women’s houses while the husbands are out. He never knew, but that doesn’t make the slightest bit of a difference.
“Listen, man…It’s not that bad… Sandy didn’t know you’d be getting in so early; else we would’ve gone to my place. Just chill out.”
He said that. God, what an asshole Jared must think he is. Jared must hate him; he has every right to. Even though Jensen hadn’t known, he still hates himself for hurting a man he’s never been properly introduced to.
How ironic is it that Jensen only continued his sex-relationship with Sandy because of the photograph of Jared? How ironic is it that Jared was the one on Jensen’s mind every single time he came?
Jensen was perving over Jared while fucking Jared’s fiancé. How sick is that?
Each time he remembers the pain shining in Jared’s eyes, his chest tightens up, both in guilt and in the desperate need to erase the hurt he unknowingly caused. Jared doesn’t deserve to be hurt like that, no one does.
So, ring in pocket, Jensen begins searching for the man he figuratively screwed over by accident.
He pulls out his laptop and Google’s Jared’s name, wondering which books the man has written. He must be pretty good if the house is anything to go by. And that ring can’t have been cheep either.
But, as Jensen browses through the listing, his mouth falls open slightly when he realises just how good the guy is. Some of the ratings are sky high and Jared’s most recent book, As the day falls to dust, is currently being made into a movie.
Now he understands why Sandy never seems to do any work; with a fiancé who earns what this guy must earn, money can’t possibly be an issue.
A new surge of anger swells up at the thought of Sandy, and he wonders what the hell he’d seen in her. Well, okay, he knows it was all about the fun, easy, no-commitment sex, but still. He can’t understand why she would cheat on someone like Jared, why she would risk losing him, risk hurting him.
Admittedly, Jensen doesn’t know Jared beyond their brief, unpleasant encounter, but just from looking at the range of books he’s produced, Jensen can tell that Jared’s a genius. The man has an awesome sense of humour, topped with a touch of romance that’s both believable and non-sickening. Add that to the action and thrills, and the part where he’s drop dead gorgeous and Jensen can’t think of how anyone can be more perfect.
Hell, if Jensen had someone like that… well, let’s just say he’d spend each and every day showing just how much he loves the person.
And Sandy just tossed it all away for cheap thrills and horny, meaningless sex.
